I wanted to use up the pearl millet and I wanted to taste flat beans; this recipe made both happen.
I wanted to use up the jowar and I had dahi since a long time; so this recipe came about.
I wanted to make cabbage paratha (as per rakskitchen.net - I do not own copyrights) but the batter did not come up to rolling consistency. So, I gave them form and mother fried them.
I wanted to offset the extreme tanginess of bell pepper and I had Table spread; so I combined both.
I needed to finish off the poha and the dahi. I wanted to see how much yeast combined with dahi will make this mixture rise.
I wanted to use up the purple cabbage and I had little bit of kohl rabi and diced potatoes with me; hence I made this pulao.
I wanted to use up the ash gourd, yellow zucchini, peas, tofu and I was determined to give it a spicy aroma, something which I was unable to do the previous time.
This soup is absolutly delish! You can add chicken or turkey, but it is honestly just fine without. If you use homemade chicken stock, like my mother does, you really won't need the meat. Also, just to clarify, the cooking and prep times are NOT exact. Everyone's stove and kitchen appliances are different, so while it takes my mom just 45 minutes, actual cooking time may vary.
This is a delicious smoothie made with 100% whole fruits and vegetables. My picky 4-year-old loves it.
