melt butter in heavy pot, add chopped broccoli, onion, carrot salt and pepper. Saute till onion is soft. Add flour, cook 1 min. Add the broth, bring to a boil, simmer, uncovered till vegetables are soft. Add milk, BLEND with and immersion blender to puree the soup
