Eggnog is a staple in my house every year during the holidays. It is one of my weaknesses which is why I know I should stay as far away from it as I possibly can. I found this recipe, but tweaked it just a little bit to lower the amount of calories that it has.
A classic jewish noodle kugel with the fat and sugar contents down to near zero.
Oya means "parent" and ko means "child" in Japanese. Donburi means "large bowl". This is a warm and delicious chicken and egg dish that is eaten in a bowl over rice.
This is a nice dressing to add to a tossed salad. I use several types of lettuce, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, tomatoes, green peppers, bunching onions, black olives, almonds or walnuts, just whatever you want. I also put in grapes or strawberries, halved or sliced to add some more sweet to it. Top it off with a low-fat cheese, such as Mozzarella, maybe a little sliced deli meat and you have a meal in one for less than 500 calories.
A simple recipe with no added fat or sugar. Excellent as toast with a bit of butter or extra honey for more sweetness.
I used Chai for the tea - you can use any other tea as long as it's nice and strong (Roobios would be a good one too).
