This is a copy of the recipe on here called "Oatmeal Applesauce Low Fat Cookies ". I didn't use Splenda, and didn't have as much Craisins as it called for, and used regular sugar over brown, so I wanted to get a more accurate calorie count.
I am the editor of a weekly clean eating publication, cleaneatingweekly.com, and this is by far the most delicious tomato soup I have ever made. I like to blend it up in a food processor, but it is really good and hearty when served chunky. This dish is easy, clean, vegan, and extremely low calorie!
This cheese is from Bryanna Clark Grogan and made me love pizza again! Don't make the sauce until you're ready to use it because it sets up very quickly. But, make a double batch and refrigerate some - use it as a spread to make awesome quesadillas or grilled cheese sandwiches.
The most common complaint about homemade seitan is that it's mushy. This recipe is BASIC but very firm.
This recipe is super versatile so play around with the spices and broth to make it more beefy or chicken-y.
This was my first time playing with chia seeds... and it was a success!! Tasty, filling, and healthy! Recipe as written is gluten free, vegan, low in fat, and just over 100 calories per serving.
This hummus dip is quick, easy, has almost no fat, and is always a huge hit at parties! This recipe contains no tahini or olive oil, but it still packs a punch - it has a fresh, lemon garlic flavor, plus it's high in fiber so it's very filling! Serve with cucumber, green pepper, and celery slices, as well as your favorite crackers.
This is just basic vegetable soup. It's amenable to whatever veggies you happen to have around, and is great for using up leftover vegetables.
I did the nutrition calculation for 1 cup of soup; eat as much as you want. :-)
Most people will, I think, want extra salt in this, but I like the flavor, and I'm trying to cut down on sodium.
I use about 2 pounds of shredded cabbage (or shredded store-bought slaw mix) for this, but I'm not sure exactly how many cups that is. I used 10 cups for this recipe's nutritional info, because that's about right.
This is a very versatile recipe. You can basically use any liquid for the liquid portion, and any seasonings in the dry mix. (I usually add wet seasonings like fresh ginger, if I use them, to the wet part.)
Made in a pressure cooker, this is a quick and healthy meal!
Indian spiced soup packed with vegetables! Super filling and only 150 calories!
