This recipe can also be made with soy butter so that it is safe for children to take to school. You can adjust the amount of ginger to make it spicier or substitute the cayenne pepper with Asian chili garlic sauce.
This lentil soup uses a healther bean. It is a chinese bean that can be found in Walmart in the international foods aisle. It looks like small, green, oval bean. It contains tons of nutrients and no cholestrol.
A very basic quick and easy sweet and sour chicken recipe. Serve with rice or noodles.
I sometimes use different veg, depending on what is in the house. It is also good using pork instead of chicken.
This is a Korean juk or porridge for fall and winter to keep you nice and toasty! This is also good for when you are sick! Most Juk's or porridges are easy on the stomach because their bland! Enjoy
I healthy stir-fry for asian food lovers.
Much healthier than the takeout version. Packed with lots of nutrients.
This is a recipe someone else posted, but I have adapted it to serve 8 instead of 1.
A great recipe to make when you have leftover meat of any kind. The original calls for 1/4 cup of peanut oil or coconut oil for stir-frying, but I halved that to cut the fat. I think you could use even less, because the eggs don't really need to be fried in oil. I also use light soy sauce to cut the sodium, and depending on the saltiness of your meat, you might be able to use less. Don't leave out the chili garlic sauce, it makes a HUGE difference for such a small amount. It can be found in the asian section of the grocery store. This is as close to take-out style as you will get!
I morphed two of my favorite recipes... Sesame Shrimp and Natalie's just like take-out fried rice. It is a lot of steps, but so good I don't care.
This power salad combines protein-packed grains with the healing nutrients from fresh veggies for a lime infused flavor bomb with crunch in each bite.
This soup is mild in flavor (except when you chomp on a piece of ginger!) Add other spices if you like, but I created this to be mild. You can experiment with adding a nut butter to the hot broth. It makes it more flavorful but adds to the calories. Add a little bit at a time. I used a natural, nothing-but-peanut butter. (Hmmm....maybe some of the low-fat peanut butter powder would work well. Must try that next time!)
