Modified from a Dorie Greenspan recipe, this dessert is nothing more than wafer-thin slices of Asian pears layered with coconut oil and a spiced sugar mixture, lightly pressed and slowly baked to meltingly tender perfection. A chilled square of this alongside caramel or vanilla ice cream is the perfect, frugal-fancy end to any day of the week!
Okay I'm lazy. I don't shape them into strawberries...and they don't have strawberries in them. A better name would be date ornament balls!
The recipe is formulated specifically for use only with Unjury. Because this IS a high protein low carb recipe, it isn't comparable in taste to a classic fudge, but.....it is good!

This Eastern European egg bread has a sourdough tang, and the potatoes lend it a moisture and body unlike “regular” challahs. It keeps fresh longer, but should any go stale, they make for excellent toasted sandwiches or bread puddings. It’s a great use for leftover potatoes and egg whites in the kitchen after the holidays too.
