I used all the "light" or fat free kinds of ingredients I could and it's not the best for a good diet but, for a nice change on occation this is a very tastey dish that my whole family loves. I hope yours will, too!
This recipe is for the marinade only-- it wille marinate about four 4oz steaks. I did the marinade separate from the tuna because I found that each steak only uses about a 6th of the marinade.
Love this! Make it almost once a week. I ended up using a cup of frozen corn kernels I had and it turned out well. Use any extra veggies you like. I also make the biscuits a little smaller than fourths, just tear with my hands.
The original recipe serves 8, but we love it so much we get about 6 servings out of it instead. Oops!
This is a low sodium, low fat, high protein entree. Best served with salad greens. The directions include my own taco mix which reduces the amount of sodium in the recipe. If you are crunched for time or don't have a spice rack, just buy packaged taco mix. I don't like things hot, so IF YOU LIKE IT HOT, add your favorite reduced sodium SALSA!!
My adaptation of a traditional Moroccan recipe. The main substitutions are stevia powder for honey and freeze-dried apricot pieces for raisins. I find the Garlic/Ginger paste at Asian markets. If you don't have it, substitute 3 cloves minced garlic and 1 Tablespoon minced fresh ginger root.
A reduced fat version of the Pillsbury winning Savory Crescent Chicken Squares
I got this from an old cookbook I found at a second hand store. It tastes like the pizza burgers we used to eat for school lunches. YUMMY!! Kids love these!!
This is such a good and easy recipe.
My grandmother gave it to me, and our Family has loved it for years. You can reduce the fat and calories by using reduced fat cream of mushroom soup.
