This recipe works best in a high speed blender like Vita-mix, if you don't have one, then you will want to have a nut milk bag to drain out the pieces of almonds that don't get mixed up unless you don't mind them, which I don't.
This is my occasional treat instead of buying the more expensive coffee shop type. I am going to try it with sugar-free hot chocolate next time.

If you use fresh fruit they can be added before or after spinach, but frozen should be added last. I've found that the way you add ingredients can alter the taste of the drink. Maybe it's my imagination but to me it seems to matter.

I added 2 pkts. of Truvia bec. of the varying sweetness of the ingredients used --- but it's plenty sweet! It all depends on how tart (or sweet) you like your smoothies.
