I was bored with my Hcg choices and came up with this quick and easy recipe. It was very tasty!
In Tucson there's a Jordanian restaurant called The Shish Kebab House. There is a dish there that I absolutely love. It's called Oozie or Ouzi or something like that... pronounced oo'Zee (yes I know it's not a dictionary format.)
I adapted this recipe from Cooking Light after my daughter was diagnosed with allergies to gluten, soy and dairy. The original recipe called for 3/4 cup of egg substitute, which I never have on hand.
This recipe is great served with rice and broccoli.
Yummy sweet italian sausage with sauteed vegetables in a savory juice at the bottom of the dish.
This is a gluten-free recipe. You can add chopped chicken breast if desired. It is also pretty thick so if you want a soupier consistency, add water as needed.
This kid-pleasing pie is great for low-carb folks, paleo lovers, or anyone who wants a new recipe for ground beef.
My husband has always had a sweet tooth and being on the SCD diet (he has UC), his options are often limited.
This is a delicious and versatile SCD friendly crepe. I added raspberries and honey to it to make it a decadent dessert!
You could also use it with savoury... ham and brie is my favourite.
Very smooth, delicious summer soup. This makes a great appetizer before a meal. It would compliment a pork tenderloin meal perfectly.
My attempt at a Thai dish... tasted really good with lime on the side!
As a nutrition major and girlfriend to a man with a bonafide chocolate and sugar addiction, I am realizing that though I can eat chia seeds and broccoli all day long, the average Joe needs healthy eating to be packaged a tad more sneakily. Is "sneakily" a word? Word or not, these little protein packed ninjas are officially boyfriend approved! So sneak 'em past those meat and potato appetites. Your waist lines will thank you. :)
This is just a 'toss-together dish' I came up with, easy and nutritionally sound (I think).
PLEASE don't use dried herbs. Fresh herbs are a must for anyone learning to enjoy fresh healthy food.
Zucchini has become a staple replacement to pasta for me. This recipe is JUST for the "ravioli" But I will post the sauce separate.
These are wonderful for breakfast. Can add thyme to make them savory, or a bit of sugar for sweet. Also good as a tortilla substitute. Note I am not 100% on the nutrition info being correct - they did not have the flours, just the grains. Also, a serving is 2 crepes, so each is about 100 calories.
