I love Chicken Soup, but don't always have the time to cook it the traditional way from scratch. This tastes great in just a fraction of the time.
I got this recipe from the Cooking club Magazine. I didn't have the lemon-pepper salt seasoning so I just mixed 1 tsp salt with some pepper and then threw in some lemon juice. I think the effect was a little fresher.
4 Tbsp of margarine is crazy! I use 1 Tbsp of usually Land O Lakes Unsalted Whipped Butter
Subtracting the indigestible carbs, this is 13 g total carbs per serving. To make it non-low-carb, use about 1 and 1/2 pounds of pasta tossed with 3 or 4 Tbsp olive oil. It is adapted from Williams-Sonoma/Time-Life "Pasta Sauces" 1994 ISBN 0783502834. Travels beautifully.
