Delicious! I just threw this together last minute and it reminded me of a Cuban dish I had in Navarre, Florida while visiting a friend!
I used up ingredients I had on hand since I couldn't get out to the store because of the snow and for creating this dish from scratch, it was a huge hit with my DH and picky daughter.
This is a great meatloaf with a little spicy twist. Making it with turkey makes it healthy and lower in fat than traditional meatloaf!
It's no surprise that American cooks have adopted Asian peanut sauce as their own. The tantalizing balance of creaminess and heat has universal appeal.
Really yummy, healthy and rather cheap to make. My husband and daughter love this recipe. It is a spin off of the traditional chicken and rice. I listed portions for serving of 8(food for 2 days), but you can cut down if needed.
This is a substantial Mexican meal that tastes wonderful when served with a homemade fresh salsa and corn warmed tortillas. I have attempted to trim fat and calories by substituting ground turkey for the original ground beef.
Chicken with a honey-mustard glaze. Only my husband and I know the reason for the name.
My family loves my enchiladas. They are easy to make. If you aren't counting calories or carbs, you could use regular tortillas. Serve refried beans or caesar salad to make a complete meal.
I came up with this idea one evening out of things I had in my fridge. You could easily change the fillings or add more. It's like a pizza sandwich!
If you can find ready-made pizza dough, this comes together really fast. I'm fortunate to live near a Trader Joe's where I can buy freshly made pizza dough that doesn't come in a can.
I also make my own Italian seasoning, using equal parts oregano, marjoram, basil, thyme, rosemary and whatever else you like.
It's delicious!
