Inspired by an old red velvet cake recipe, I replace food color with water, replace sugar with Stevia, reduce the fat and add unsweetened applesauce for bulk. I use a thin spread of cooked buttercream frosting with this cake in half of the amount (1/4 recipe with 1T flour, 1/4 c milk, 1/4 c butter, 1/4 c sugar, 1/4 t vanilla).
This is a healthy condiment you can make for your own use and gift to friends. It works on meatloaf, burgers, dogs, beans or just about anything. it is low on sodium and uses no sugar.
Make this the night before and refrigerate. Drink it all throughout the next day.

This easy peazy recipe uses rutabagas in place of potatoes, which are twice the calories. As a result, two cups of stew are around 250 calories. Spicing is up to you, but I suggest 1-3 tsp each of salt and pepper to taste, a bay leaf, some oregano and thyme.

This is a sugar free cake, as long as you use the diet Big Red Soda instead of the regular one-i had to use the regular one in this calculation for the calories because it was the only one i could find that day! But everything else in this is sugar free! I hope you enjoy!
