Deceptively simple, this is great to serve at a party or take to a potluck, as it's a wonderful tasting hit but much lower in calories than other picnic-type side dishes. The main purpose of the yogurt is to keep the fruit from browning, although it does add a nice flavor as well.
Instead of a bunch of oil and sugar (or splenda) which is typical in this recipe, use unsweetened applesauce instead. It cuts the calories, and adds a little sweetness. The vinegar and ramen seasoning mask any fruity or "apple" flavor. Also, at my grocery store, I can get a 50 oz. jar of applesauce for less than $1.50, so it is a money saving tip as well! Enjoy!
