This is a quick and easy recipe I created to have one of my favorite Mexican sides.
Cilantro has been proven to chelate toxic metals from our bodies in a relatively short period of time. Combined with the benefits of the other ingredients, this recipe is a powerful tissue cleanser.
Two teaspoons of this pesto daily for three weeks is purportedly enough to increase the urinary excretion of mercury, lead, and aluminum, thus effectively removing these toxic metals from our bodies.
The pesto is delicious on toast, baked potatoes, and pasta.
The original recipe calls for Cool Whip, but I was going for more protein, so I swapped it with Vanilla Greek Yogurt.
Made as a side to go with Jerk Pork Casserole. (I think next time I'll combine the whole thing and bake it together, but it works well together.)
