Recipe derived from great depression staple back in the 1930s. Not too sweet and almost like a sweet bread that would taste fantastic with honey on top.
Not a diet recipe - but I wanted to know the nutritional information in this favorite old recipe so I can plan for the damage!
I found this recipe on line and it is awesome! You cannot taste the black beans. It is extremely moist. Yum.
i've made this a few times now, i cut the dough in 12 pieces to form individual mini-pizzas and i bake them ahead of time and then toss them in ziplock bags to make my own mini pizza at work (5 mins with toppings in toaster oven).
I love baking. But, a love that far eclipses the pleasure of baking is my love of the fruits of my baking labour, particularly cakes (especially the eating of them)!
However, being on the calorie conscious side, I wanted to be be able to bake something that I don't have to feel as guilty about eating! Hence, I adapted a normal cupcake recipe, replacing the higher calorie components, namely the butter, milk and sugar with lower calorie and fat versions.
