Lovely blend of olive oil, crushed garlic and pasta mixed to make this wonderful main dish or side dish. Also nice to add brocolli and chicken to make into a full meal
This is one of my go-to slow-cooker recipes - tasty, vegetarian and rich in fibre and protein. I will sometimes add caraway seeds for a slightly sharper flavour, and will use sweet potatoes, carrots, and other hard vegetables in addition to the potatoes, depending on what's in the fridge. I recommend serving garnished with yogourt or low-fat sour cream, and fresh cilantro is terrific stirred in just before serving.
this is my first attempt at making a "clean" chili (using ingredients that are all natural with no preservatives).
Using extra-lean ground beef and wheat germ instead of bread makes this traditional meal a healthy favourite!
Easy and flavorful! Throw it all in a crockpot and forget about it! The wonderful aroma will remind you when it is done!
This is a really good comfort food meal. I eat it as the main meal, but it could be a side dish.
I originally got the recipe out of Real Simple magazine, they had it as 'light comfort food'. I lightened it even more (they use low-fat sour cream instead of yogurt and low-fat milk instead of non-fat milk)
This is the best chili ever! You can add corn for a little sweetness and cinnamon makes it really good for some reason.
Fritters can be fried ahead and frozen. Thaw at room temperature one hour, then reheat in 400 degree F oven. Fritters are also good in a chicken wrap.
This gives the flavors and comes together easily. I look forward to using the left-overs in a variety of ways - I'm thinking maybe in a wrap.
