It's a healthy way to fill up 4 people and men LOVE it! Loaded with protein, zesty veggies and the spicy tomato base that made the original shrimp creole famous!
Even if you don't like fish, you'll like this fish dish! You can also substitute other fish like tilapia, cod or haddock.
Don't be tempted to use something other than butter...a little goes a long way and it's what provides a crispy crunch to the finished product.
This is super easy to make and it's delicious. I originally found a salmon recipe made this way and it is also really awesome and good for you too. The lemon zest gives the fish a really nice lemony flavor. The brown sugar gives it a light sweet but still tart flavor. Try it, you'll like it.
i cut this recipe in half, and sprinkled some parmesean cheese on top.
you may need to add some extra water as it cooks, mine kept getting too thick.
it's good on top of pasta too!
Very yummy!!! Could substitute unsalted butter to cut more sodium and wouldn't sacrifice flavor. Broccoli is optional, but makes the meal more filling (and even healthier) To make gluten-free, use cornstarch and water/chicken broth for thickening agent instead of butter roux and serve over rice noodles instead of angel hair.
Variations abound - of course. Just trying Grapeseed oil & a variety of spices w/whatever healthy ingredients we can toss in...
This is a great quick and easy lunch you can make in about five or ten minutes and then heat up in the microwave at lunch. Inspired by a Hungry Girl recipe.
