This is delicious when made ahead, stored in a casserole dish, then reheated.
This was my favorite family recipe when I was a kid. You can add any kind of vegetables you want and if you want to spice it up add some dried chili's and a little cayenne for some kick!
Use Lavash flatbread as the crust for this tasty low-calorie pizza. Crust turns out crunchy and very satisfying. Could be cut into smaller rectangles and used as an appetizer.

very delightful. Sometimes I substitute the mashed potatoes with cauliflower. And the salsa with spaghetti sauce, some people also leave the skin on the potatoes.
I like the taste - bit tart to relieve the boredom. However it looks rather like mush, so I think I will use the leftovers as a stuffing for green bell peppers, to make it prettier (and some grated cheese on top for my non-dieting husband!
I only put this a one piece of rye because some of the beef steak rye is large and I fold over the piece. If that is the case make this 1/2 of serving and only 1 1/2 of ham
