These make a great, healthy snack, also known as energy balls or no-bake energy bites. You can substitute almost anything for any of the ingredients to work around food allergies, special diets, etc. Soy butter, almond butter, cashew butter, sun butter, etc. all works in place of peanut butter. You can use creamed or liquid honey. In place of the honey you can use agave nectar or maltitol syrup. If you do not like or can't eat coconut try wheat germ, granola, any type of crushed cereal, cocoa powder or whatever you like. The chocolate chips can be regular or carob or you can use raisins, cranberries, goji berries or crushed nuts. The possibilities are endless.
