This is a really delicious and easy recipe. I made it for an "Italian Feast" themed party and it was a big hit! It's nice to find something to throw together and not have to shop for unusual ingredients.
A delicious, healthy, and hearty meal - great way to treat your tastebuds to super flavor and your body to vegetables and protein.
Quick and Easy Dish that will make a great impression on guests. Double the "sauce" to serve over rice or pasta or serve with roasted potatoes and a salad.
Less fat and calories than a traditional Macaroni salad. I use pasta shells instead of Macaroni to make more servings. Great for family gatherings or a picnick. I use a food processor to chop up all the veggies to save time. I refregerate over night to let the liquid absorb and it tastes better.
NOT LOWFAT - Just used nutritional info for daily count. Made this for baking competition so went full fat and real sugar.
This sloppy joe recipe is one that my family enjoys the most. I usually make it in big batches so that I can freeze it for quick meals later or to send some home with the kids.
A healthy, tasty alternative to meat pate. Serve with low-fat crackers. Cooking time includes chilling time.
Delicious , and light as long as you have only 1 & skip the icing. Just sprinkle with Splenda (or sugar) when you take out of the oven.
We love this and it's SO easy to make and bring to parties. I always cut up carrots or celery to eat with it instead of chips. Sometimes I will slice up a cucumber and use it like a cracker.
Calories can be saved by using lowfat cheese instead of whole fat! I just had some really good cheese to use up before it went bad.
Found this and loved it. It says to put choclate frosting on top but I decided to leave that off.
A delicious grain salad that I love to bring to potlucks. It looks so festive and can be served warm or cold. The original recipe only calls for 1 cup of dry couscous, but I use a lot more when I'm bringing it to an event.
From Weight Watchers One Pot cookbook.
From Simple Vegetarian Pleasures by Jeanne Lemlin. Yummy and mild -- good even for self-proclaimed non-curry eaters.
One of my favorite recipes from Smitten Kitchen, and my go-to dessert for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, when apples are a traditional food. Recipe here: https://smittenkitchen.com/2008/09/moms-ap

Note that I omit walnuts and use coconut oil instead of canola or vegetable oil.
