Super easy and delicious veggie burgers. If you don't like black beans substitute for kidney, garbanzo, or pinto beans.
I found this recipe for vegetarian sloppy joes on Allrecipes.com. It is easy to make using pantry ready ingredients and standard vegetables. This version also does not use faux-meat, which makes it cheaper and a nice change from the usual.
Ground turkey and spicy Chili sauce pack a punch to your average mild sloppy joes.
Tuna Burgers that my family loves! Not especially diet friendly, but they are delicious nonetheless!
This is a very simple whole wheat bread that anybody can bake. The results are light and tasty. Don't be fearful of ending up with two bricks of bread you won't want to eat! Don't fear the yeast! For very little hands on time you will be rewarded with healthy bread. If you are kneading by hand, you will find the time relaxing and rather meditative. This bread is delicious for sandwiches and toast.
I make all the bread we eat in our home. I do this for two reasons - I want to control the ingredients in the food we consume, and I want to save money. The recipes I post here are the result of years of tweaking.
Whole wheat flour is best purchased bulk (rather than the expensive 5 pound bags, unless they are on sale!). If you have a grain mill or a Vita Mix, it is easy to make by grinding wheat kernels. Remember - whole wheat flour does go rancid because it contains all parts of the wheat kernel. Buy in limited amounts or store more than you will use in a month in the freezer.
Caveat: I bake at altitude -5,800 feet. You may need to adjust by adding just a touch more yeast (1 teaspoon).
Vegans: Make this vegan by substituting agave syrup for the honey. I have done this successfully many times.
Light and tasty, this sandwich will be sure to tickle your tastebuds.
My grandma made this after we would have a roast every Sunday with the leftover roast she made from Sunday supper. Great way to use of a roast. This is very tasty and delicious.
3 cans well drained and rinsed tuna.
Organic veggies.
Mush up tuna using fingers. Then add the mayo, then the finely chopped veggies. You can alter the mayo as you are mixing by starting will less mayo.
This makes a dry tuna salad, but very tasty. You can substitute plain lowfat yogurt for any amount of the mayo that you like. I would usually use about 2 TBS real mayo for this recipe, then the rest would be either Hellman's lowfat mayo or plain yogurt or combo.
Just adding all my recipes in here so I don't have to account for calories in a month or so. lol
A lot tastier than Subways & Quizo's. If not tastier then less expensive.
I am seeing on here more & more that no one wants to take the time & made Home Made Foods.
I guess I might be the only person in here that has the time to ACTUALLY take the time to go to a Grocery Store, Spend $ 200.00 for a 2 week if not 3 week run of food.
You all will have more fun as a Family & save about 50 to 100 bucks a month going to & from your favorite Fast Food Reatuarant down the street.
Great on sandwiches, or just as a quick fix when needing full flavour hit. If you want a true dip rather than a sandwich spread, pulverise it in the blender and add more mayo or oil.
it made a lot and i'm guessing on servings and i'm guessing servings for potato roll bread. there should be enough for at least 6-8 servings if not more.
Combine all in a food processor or blender. Add a teaspoon of olive oil if you want.
