This recipe is adapted from a recipe found in Men's Health Magazine.
You can really substitue any veggie (like broccoli, mushrooms, cauliflower, or potatoes) for the asparagus, and vary the cheese used (Roquefort or Goat Cheese).
I love this recipe but so high in fat I placed the mayonnaise with reduced fat and added the lemon juice to help break the sweetness from the lower fat mayo just as delicious as the original version with only 5grams of fat instead of 20grams
The longer this sits, the better the flavors mingle....
I changed a couple of things from the show.....I used reduced fat peanut butter and used splenda brown sugar..this changed the calorie count from 308 to 125.7.
They had the last ingredents coming on after it sat for an hour and using it as topping...I mixed mine all together at one time and love it!
Goes nicely with ham and bean soup. I use half the sugar called for in the original recipe.
