This is a two layer chocolate cake with a Cool Whip based frosting on top. Apple sauce in the cake helps reduce fat calories. You can substitute the instant pudding mix with another flavor (vanilla or chocolate) that is sugar free to reduce calories even further.

I thought this was a good dessert to eat until I realized that the recipe was outdated on Spark and did not include many of the ingredients that I originally had in the recipe. So ot is far to high in calories for sure but tastes so good! Dang!

Really simple...I know it sounds kind of gross, but the cool whip ends up melting and becoming very rich. It really hits the spot when you have one of those awful cravings for something sweet.
