Made a similar syrup; added juice of 1 freshly squeezed lemon. For sugar, I used Truvia brown sugar blend
Yum! I took the advice of another member and added a T of cornstarch to thicken it up a tad, also boiled the sugar and water together 1st as mentioned by someone else. Def a keeper!
I make blueberry syrup all the time, fresh for pancakes or french toast. I don't use any sugar, just a tbsp per 1/2 cup of maple syrup or blue agave syrup. I start it in the microwave for a minute to explode the blueberries ( use a cover) and then put it on low on the stove until it reduces and pour
For thicker syrup, bring the sugar & water to a rolling boil for 5 minutes, then turn down the heat & stir in berries & vanilla
Very Sweet, next time I may try with less sugar.
