A good Southern side dish like Mom used to make. I've made a vegan version using almond milk instead of buttermilk. Blander, but you can spice it up.
This recipe is good for a regular day, it doesn't take a lot of time to make it. you can add toppings as per your preference. they are not sweet or savory. the flavor depends on the toppings and sides.
A simple oil free baked salmon patty for a light and flavorful lunch or dinner.
I was looking for a grab and go snack that is healthy. And one of my SP friends (CBOCEAN) mentioned that she makes egg white muffins with veggies and freezes them. So this is a variation of her recipe.
This recipe makes appx 18 muffins depending on how many veggies you add. Great to serve a larger crowd or freeze and reheat during the week for those mornings when you are in a hurry.
Since our family began eating paleo I have been on the lookout for a good pancake recipe. Grain free pancakes can be pretty tricky, it seems they always fall apart or are dry, or are just not right. After experimenting with more recipes than I care to think of, I have finally come up with my own Paleo, Grain Free, Gluten Free version of Banana Pancakes!

So yummy! The aroma is so believable you may have to check the oven to make sure you aren't baking cookies!
The first time I made this, my sister asked, who was baking a cake? That is how powerful the aroma is.
This recipe was taken & slightly modified from "Bakin' Without Eggs" by Rosemarie Emro I use since I have a child with an egg allergy but they're extremely good and would be great for a vegan diet. Her recipe called for 1/2 c. chopped nuts, but I don't like them so my calorie counter does not include them.
I saw a similar recipe with South Beach and altered it a little bit. I like it much better now.
This dish is nice, warm way to start the morning without too many calories or too much sugar.
Classic recipe with an italian twist. For variations, you can poach the egg or use different cheeses for the topping (italian cheese blend, romano, or parmigiano reggiano are all good choices)! You can even add some bacon crumbles, sliced smoked turkey sausage, or prosciutto for more protein.
Fruit or whole wheat toast are great side items to this dish.
Perfect for breakfast or lunch, enjoy this burrito-style huevos rancheros, or Mexican eggs in a wrap. It might not be authentic, but it's certainly delicious. Serve with some fresh fruit on the side.
