This is my take on Costco's incredibly yummy Cilantro Lime Shrimp. I like mine with lots of garlic and spicy. You can tone yours down by using less garlic and crushed red pepper. Enjoy!
I made this a couple years ago for Thanksgiving and my family has been asking for it again ever since. So I made it for this year's Thanksgiving get-together, but I lightened it up some. I could have bought fat-free or lower-fat mayo too, but it was out of my price range this week! :(
I know it sounds like a really weird combination of ingredients, but it comes out very good!
My friend Liz can't have many carbs. This is tuna salad with a zing. It only has 9 carbs and filled with good fats. You can substitute fat-free or light mayo and it will have the same great taste...
This recipe is great tossed with romaine lettuce or fresh spinach, or used as a topping for crackers. It's high in fat, but it's induction-friendly for Atkins dieters (3.8g net carbs/sv).
High in healthy fats, vitamins and nutrients, low in carbs and high in protein! Is not a good option for low fat diets!
If you really want to wow your friends and family this summer, try my take on a French classic salad with seared tuna steaks and two homemade dressings.
***You will need a food processor to create these dressings.***
***This is by no means a quick recipe, but it is relatively easy.
If you leave out the potatoes, the salad has 14 g carb and 426 cal per serving.
Another wonderful Recipe I got from my Grandmother (Nan). This is a great side dish or main dish, on a hot day it is nice and cool. use reduced fat mayo and it tastes the same with a lot less fat.
This is like my other tuna pasta salad except for the dressing.
I strongly recommend adding a protein to this dish. If you are, add protein while still hot. The salad works well with grilled fish or shrimp, or grilled pork.
Simple, light. Salmon steamed, tuna, crab, shrimp can be substituted or mixed. Serve with tomatoes and whole wheat grain. 1-2 servings
I serve this with melba toast or as a "Lobster" Roll inside of a light hotdog bun. Yummy!!!
