This comes from a Basque restaurant in my home town. Its absolutely delicious and really filling. You can add in beans, hot sauce, or dip a sandwhich into this broth. It actually gives cabbage soup a good name! Plus it freezes great so don't worry about the large quantity.
This is a great main course on cold winter days. Sure to be a favorite in your family, I loved it as a child. Optional toppings include bacon bits, cheddar cheese and green onions. ( These are not calculated)
Lentils are a wonderful source of fiber, protein, and iron. This soup is incredibly good for you, and low in calories- so go ahead, have another bowl!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this soup recipe from Tosca Reno's Eat Clean Diet book! I thought I'd share it.
Too good to ignore! So Good SO easy to make and So Delicious! I eat it year round!
From Cooking LIght. This soup derives its spiciness from the poblanos while sour cream helps mellow the heat and round out the flavors. The soup gets its name from the cooked peppers that are called rajas in Spanish.
One of many people challenge is to eat some kind of food without meat . Well , here try this soup .You will love it!.
Chickpeas have become one of my favorite foods in the world since I tried this soup.Don't let its simplicity fool you; yes, it's super easy to make, with very simple and cheap ingredients and I just can't have enough! I don't use canned chickpeas, or any canned food at that, but I guess you could make this recipe a 5-minute deal using canned chickpeas. What's more, you get to experience what REAL, everyday Mediterranean food tastes like, instead of what they usually offer in restaurants, which is mostly food that people here eat only in special occasions (any more frequently and we'd all have vanished due to heart disease :P)
