Christmas Recipes (Most Popular)
This is my husband's mother's recipe for a traditional German spice cookie. She made it for years and her little boy always looked forward to it for Christmas. Now that she's passed away, I continue the tradition in her honor. This is not an easy recipe to make, it takes time to prepare and to allow it to "cure" over the course of two to three weeks.
You would never guess that fat free cream cheese is used here, because the flavor of the Italian turkey covers it up! These are a wonderful party food for very low calories (check out the calorie count of a full fat recipe!) and I've even served them as a side dish!
These are also phenomenal in jalapenos. They are bigger, so just use 10 peppers, and double the calories for each one.
This arrangement of seasonings and vegitables are blended into a smooth as silk sauce. Sofrito is a great starting base for marinades, soups, dips, rice and bean dishes. I always use sofrito in guacomole.
My Mother-in-law makes these, and they're the best sugar cookies I've ever had...Even if Sugar cookies aren't something you should have.
A wonderful Christmas morning breakfast treat. I think I got the original recipe from a Pillsbury cooking magazine.
Mom's homemade peanut brittle is a must in the holidays. Make about 30 1"by3" inch pieces after broken up.
Recipe from the hershey kiss bag but I used I can't believe it's not butter in place of shortening and splenda brown sugar. A favorite around the holidays!
This is definatley not for those on a diet. It's a special treat for special occasions!
