This is so simple you just mix it together. It is the perfect kids birthday party cake! The original recipe uses 2 cups of sugar which is too sweet for me. The secret is pouring boiling water over the other mixed ingredients this smooths the mixture out so you can do it easily by hand...I serve this with 1/3 cup vanilla ice cream and 2 Tbls. Whipped cream Yum!

I reduced the brown sugar to 1/2 c instead of 3/4, reduced the molasses to 1/4 c instead of 1/2 and ended up with about 78 cookies which are about 3 3/4 in. tall. I used snowmen, angel and tree shapes.
This is an awesome twist on brownies and is not necessarily low in calories. But, it can be enjoyed as that once in awhile treat. It can be made with a low sugar/no sugar pie filling and reduce the calories even more.
