Oh my goodness, this is so good. It isn't EXACTLY like the take out General Tao's but darn close! I used reduced sodium soy sauce, minimal cornstarch, and Canola oil instead of vegetable oil. I also used less oil.
This is good paired with sticky brown rice, broccoli, and bok choy.

I took an idea from cooking over the fire when we go camping and brought it indoors. I was also craving pizza but didn't want to order a whole pizza and this fit the bill.
I love the Red Robin version, so tried this lower-fat/cal version (Red Robin version is 900 cal and 47g fat!!). You could even lower the calories even more by eating only half of the bun and leaving off cheese. Either way, have a napkin ready....
