A variation on a South Asian stable. Endless variations are possible, with chopped vegetales, different seasonings, etc. A baked version would save a lot of the fat,, but I haven't worked that one up yet.
4 Tbsp. Tikka Masala powder
4 Tbsp. Olive oil
8 oz. Bag frozen vegetables
1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
1.5 tsp. sea salt
.5 cup plain yogurt
.5 cup half & half
1/5 tsp. honey mixed with 8 oz. tomato paste
This is a low-fat approximation of the Chicken Tikka Masala that my fiance and I used to get from the Indian place nearby before it closed. It's more work to cook our own, but probably healthier for us!

While the cooking time is long, it required almost no attention while cooking. I used the vegetables that I had on hand (and that my boyfriend likes), but I am sure that it would be delicious with any vegetable.
These Milk Squares or Barfi are a much loved treat in all Indian households.The old method of preparing this Sweet calls for cooking the Milk in a wide mouthed, heavy bottomed pan and stirring constantly till it solidifies.Not just Time consuming but exhausting too.
This is a lighter Recipe and healthier because it has lesser calories than the original and is quicker to make.Tastes good too----purists however may not agree!!!
