This may be one of the best and worst creations for Ideal Protein. I actually made it through my entire IP experience without pizza. After a month, I really did not even crave it. But my loving husband, his Italian heritage comes through and he wanted pizza. So, I figured out how to make an IP Compliant version of pizza.
Now, I say Phase One-ish because I do put cheese on my pizza. I use Fat Free Mozzarella cheese which by the back of the package is 0-0-0. It’s Zero Fat, Zero Sugar, and Zero Net Carb, so it’s technically compliant. The version I use does have 1 gram of fiber, but I let that slide (you’ll see I do the same thing with Fat Free Feta Cheese on salads). You can make your own call on if you feel comfortable with this modification. Oh, and it adds a bunch of protein to the meal for you. If you don’t, I know other people who have used Veggie Shreds. You can also do this vegan style and just skip the cheese.
Serve with a large salad and you have the Italian Dinner of Ideal Protein champions!
