This Homemade Vanilla Pudding recipe is SO EASY to make that you'll never make pudding from a box again. My grandma's recipe actually called for 1 cup of sugar, but I found it too sweet for my taste--I cut it back to 2/3 cup, next time I will even cut it to 1/2 cup. The nutrition info is for 2/3 cup sugar.
I realize that it's a lot of calories to spend on a dessert, but it's worth it in my opinion (especially since I had jaw surgery and am on a liquid diet--this is my only treat!)
Being Giada's recipe I'm not sharing except with you Kathryn.
The only thing I changed was she had 2 teaspoons of salt, I used one and it was good. She said a pound of tomatoes - I didn't really count but put in 8 - looks right.
This has got to be one of the easiest ever ways to make this dish
This recipe is from The Better Homes and Gardens Homemade Bread Cook Book published in 1973. This is my favorite bread cook book. It's out of print now. This recipe makes very light and rich biscuits. I sometimes substitute Half 'n Half for the milk. This will add calories and fat so I only do this for special occasions.
Delightfully quick on a rushed night and flexible enough that you can use just about any vegetable(s) you want this tuna casserole is a hit with my whole family. This is easily doubled as well. You can serve half and freeze the other half to be warmed up and served another time too.
These muffins are a wonderful treat that my kids LOVE!! I have redone the recipe to make it lower in calories and fat at only approximately 3 grams of fat each muffin!!
For years I tried finding a good canned salsa recipe. When I stumbled across this recipe my family immediately fell in LOVE with it!! It is quite a beautiful salsa! I have changed it a little, and you can too, to fit your tastes! We love lots of garlic and onion!!
These are great for Christmas or for those that like the flavor of Red Velvet cake, but not all the calories.
