This recipe is intended to be used with pork chops (or chicken), but you can make it by itself for a tasty, meatless entrée or side dish. The calorie count does not include the meat because it is easier for me to track separately (I don't need to make 6 servings of pork for dinner, and I don't want to divide up open cans of beans and tomatoes).
I found this recipe on skinnytaste.com, and it is excellent! Even my sons who don't like cabbage liked it. I changed a few proportions, but not much. I like to use Lowry's garlic salt to season the meat and cabbage. I also use the petite diced tomatoes instead of the whole canned tomatoes.
