I got this from a recipe on SparkPeople, but I reduced the calories, carbs, and sodium. It calls for any diet soda. I actually used Coke Zero. I also used Budweiser Barbecue Sauce (it had the lowest sodium).
This is a recipe that my mother used to make and when I made it for my husband, he fell in love with it. It is not really low fat, but when you consider it is a meal within itself, it offsets the calories. You could use a healthy request type soup in place of the regular and save some on fats, etc.
I like to use bison, but you can use other game, beef, or pork. Bison is naturally low in fat. This is a very hearty stew, and is even better as leftovers. Good served with parsley noodles, carrots, and swiss chard or spinach.
I buy my bison at the farmers' market. If you can't find hot paprika, you can substitute 1/4 t. cayenne, but the paprika has a better flavor. You could also try smoked paprika.

I threw this together with what we had in the fridge the other day. It came out really moist and tasty. I served it with roasted green beans and quinoa cooked in chicken broth w/ a little olive oil.
Definitely use the lite sausage when you make this!! I learned my lesson!! Very tasty, but very high in fat when using regular smoked sausage.
