There are a few recipes for Beer Bread out there, but none as simple (and tasty!) as this one. You can even mix it in the baking pan for easy clean up. This is sensational when served with soups or just as a snack, but don't expect it to be around very long when your family gets a taste of it!
This recipe is from The Better Homes and Gardens Homemade Bread Cook Book published in 1973. This is my favorite bread cook book. It's out of print now. This recipe makes very light and rich biscuits. I sometimes substitute Half 'n Half for the milk. This will add calories and fat so I only do this for special occasions.
No matter how healthy I become, there are a couple things I'll never give up. One is gramma's drop biscuits. The memories alone make them worth fitting into my days worth of calories!
Traditional recipe for Korean style KimChi. So many healthful benifits, never mind the sodium!
This isn't very healthy, but it's VERY good, especially as French toast! Feel free to modify to make it healthier.
Busy lifestyle Egg McMuffin, great for on the go people, no added fat and packs a protein punch!
this is a variation of country_angel36's awesome sweet potato pancakes
Really basic and better for you than mac n cheese from a box. Makes 12 big servings. I like to add in whatever veggies I have on hand. They tend to pick them out but at least I tried!
Another Christmas brunch favorite of my family. They are great for an anytime impressive side dish!
