I have finally mastered making flan. After many attempts I am satisfied and very happy with this recipe. So far I have made 2 flan's and brought them over to my parents' and my brother's family. Both times, they couldn't stop eating the flan. It didn't make it to the next day. Oh, what a wonderful feeling! I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family and I have. :-)

You won't believe it till you try it. Even the kids like it, and it's so easy! Instead of sesame oil and sesame seeds, try baking it dry then sprinkling with parmesan cheese. Also very good!

I created this recipe to reflect my love of cheesecake and pumpkin pie. You can add or subtract the amount of spices; I happen to like it quite flavourful. As with pumpkin pie, it tastes better a day later..... There is no flour or salt in this recipe and the calories are minimal with the protein content being high. There is no crust on this cheesecake.
I have been making this version of hummus for a long time now with rave reviews, even though I do not add tahini - to me, the sesame flavor can overpower the other flavors I love so much. Add some coarse ground black pepper for a little variety, or sun dried tomato flakes. Goes well with whole wheat pita bread and tabouli, to make a healthy sandwich. Or just a an appetizer.
