Great cold on salad or Hot on Grilled Pork Chops or Chicken. Makes (8) 1/4 cup servings
I developed this to go with Black Bean Patties. Since craisins and crystalized ginger do have sugar, this recipe is not quite Daniel Fast legal, but close. I guess you could substitute fresh/frozen cranberries and fresh ginger.
You can make up a batch and freeze them, taking out just what you want for a meal.
This is a vegan recipe, compatible to the Daniel Fast. It was hard to find recipes so I have made up a few. This is one that we really liked. We agreed it would be good with walnuts added.
Light and tasty filling salad. Serve as a filling but light lunch, or as a side. Calculated as lunch portion (1 cup).
Can save 93 calories per portion by not adding cheese, and still tastes great!!
I got these from Paula Dean on Food Network. They taste just as good as the ones you get from Red Lobster. I use Earth Balance in place of butter for less fat.
A wonderful low carb side for brown rice and/or chicken. Or great as a topper on any meat.
I made this for desert to eat with a 1/4 cup of greek yogurt to give me the feeling of eating something I shouldn't be eating. Great for breakfast with cereal, milk, and fruits also. With the splenda I used 1 cup but it wouldn't come up as that.
Arroz con pollo is a typical puerto rican dish. I adjusted by adding the beans to the same dish to make it a one pot mea. Worth it's wait.
