Hamburger potato casserole

This is recipe #289730, slightly modified. I used ground turkey and whole wheat pasta in stead of ground beef and egg noodles.

I wonderful mix of meatloaf and potatos. Even my picky eater of a son asked for seconds!

This is a great soup to warm you up on cold winter days. My mom used to make it all the time when I was growing up and it was a family favorite.

I modified the recipe on the box to use turkey instead of beef and 2% instead of whole milk

Ingredients are give and take depending on taste and what's on hand. I rarely measure veggies, just tossing in however much I feel like adding.

This recipe could be less calories if you used skim milk and deer meat. I was using up what we had on hand.

Grandma used to make these foil packets with hamburger for the kids, because we didn't like roast. She'd make the roast, then take out a few potatoes and carrots and put them on the hamburgers and lay the foil packets next to the roasting pan in the oven. We loved having our own individual meals! Now, we make these for the whole family on their own.
