A simple, tasty and nutritious Cake

So moist and full of chocolatey goodness. You'll be amazed this is loaded with zucchini. It adds moistness that is a wonderful balance to the chocolate punch of the dark cocoa powder and 2 types of chocolate chips.

Everyone loves this cake. I make it healthier by cutting the fat with applesauce. I personally do not like to use the artificial sugars; but you could further reduce calories that way.
Also, the original recipe calls for just a half a cup of chocolate chips; but I did the nutritional info for a whole cup sprinkled over the top.

I've been making this for over 20 years. My family LOVES it. I used fresh zucchini and carrots from our garden. It's a definite favorite item in our family. It's NOT diet, but the vegetables are good for you! You can modify to be healthier.

Moist and delicious way to eat your veggies!

This cake is moist, lightly sweet, with a satisfying, rich texture.

Superb moist cae.

Not too sweet; you don't have to feel guilty having cake for breakfast. I make 24 servings by cutting the wider "bumps" of the bundt shape into 2 pieces, but I usually eat 2 pieces!

This is a nice, moist cake. It freezes well.

Notes about the ingredients added for nutrient calculation:
1. I couldn't find chocolate flavoring so it isn't included
2. The chocolate chips amount was calculated (as best I could) by how many tablespoons are in a cup. A weight measurement would be more accurate, but I'm away from home and don't have my scale.
3. I suspect that a cup of sliced zucchini is a smaller amount than a cup of shredded zucchini, but again, I don't have my scale with me.

Good moist cake. No frosting needed!
