This is basically an open and dump recipe! I get a lot of requests for it, though...and it's delicious. It makes a large quantity which is perfect for those football parties or for freezing.
You can adjust the heat of the spiciness by adding Tobasco or getting the hot chili beans or the hot Rotel Tomatoes, or the Hot Chili seasoning pkg.
This is an old WW recipe that I modified. I use a diet cola when the original recipe calls for a regular soda. I also use some lower sodium ingredients (i.e. the worcestershire sauce). You can shave off more sodium by using lower sodium varieties of the other ingredients. For those of you who are WW fans and keep points...the points value is 12 (which includes a bun and pickles--but keep in mind they used a regular soda). My recipe is healthier.
This is a recipe that I got from a WW magazine years ago. It has been a long standing favorite in my family and among my friends (who always want the recipe!)
Cheesy rice and chicken casserole. Quick and easy to make and tastes wonderful. Great for when you prepare your meals in advance.
The original recipe calls for fresh onion, which I eliminated to reduce the carb count.
This is a really easy recipe to make when you're short of prep time or have had a hard day!! It takes seconds to prepare and you can add other ingredients to the mix to spice it up such as cayenne pepper, garlic, worcestershire sauce, or chilli flakes and grated cheese on top! I love this dish as it gets some much needed extra fibre in my diet and is really healthy and low in calories too. Serve with a side salad or a small baked potato.
These tender pork patties are sweet and savory. Excellent with mashed potatoes (seasoned with a hint of sage) and pan gravy to carry the flavors through the entire course.
Sweet and savory at the same time - the jalepeno adds a nice flavor with just a hint of warmth.
P.S. My husband is really excited to know he created something healthy AND tasty. I hope you like it as much as we do!
Quick and easy to make. I like to replace the regular breadcrumbs with panko when I have them in the house for extra crunch!
