A lovely quick low fat lunch. A great recipe if you suddenly have unexpected guests and it will go over big.
I like to make this for quick lunches. It is easy, fats, and good for the budget. I use celery flakes instead, celery seed doesnt taste right in it. I cheat and chill the dressing part for half hour, and eat when mixed.
THIS IS NOT MY RECIPE - but it's too good not to share. (Also I just wanted to be able to track it.).
Crunchy, light, filling and satisfying with quite a bit of fiber and protein.
Bonus fact: is a great take to work salad because it can go a whole day without being in the fridge.
This one is pretty mild - so feel free to add cayenne, black pepper, curry powder or more chili powder to spice it up.
This is a very basic tuna salad recipe that I learned while working in the industrial cafeteria at my university's student union. I always loved their tuna salad and found out that the secret is lemon juice (about 1 tbsp... I put 2 fl. oz.'s in the ingredients, but didn't know how to translate that it's really about 1 tbsp or less) and a dash of pepper (season to taste). It's not really going to re-create tuna salad, but if your's seems to be missing something this recipe is worth a try!
