I have made a similar recipe, but decided to add some carrots and more fiber. Yum!
Plating two and a half cooked slices with one quarter cup of sugar free table syrup, this recipe becomes equivalent in calories to Jenny Craig's French Toast, including their syrup, and makes 3 servings with half a slice leftover. It's perfect for planning on one serving in the morning, and saving two more servings for later in the week or for the freezer.
This recipe is for people who can do without the berries in Jenny Craigs' version. I use allspice instead of the cinamon as in Jenny Craig's version, but you can substitute 1/2 teaspoon cinamon for the half teaspoon of allspice in the full recipe and the calories will be the same.
This recipe also highlights a softer chewing bread for those like me who prefer it. French Toast is tradionally made with stale bread, so don't worry if yours has gone that way. I can't however gaurantee your safety using moldy bread. Moldy is not the same thing as stale. LOL
This is one of the recipes I am using in my quick start "juice" fast... I got the idea from the documentary, "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead". I'll be consuming 5 to 6 "juices" along with 8 glasses of water a day for the next 5 or so days. It's made using a Juice Extractor and a Smoothie Machine. This recipe is good for ANY time, not just for juice fasting, and it's a great way to add fruit and veggies to your diet. :)
I love crepes, and making them is really easy! You can fill with anything--sub almond butter
A recipe made for sandwich bread, challah, or any soft breads. I love to make this recipe for breakfast when I have a day off of work. This is a sweet, custardy french toast. The butter and flour in this recipe turn otherwise plain sandwich bread into tender, crispy goodness. So don't leave them out! This isn't the lowest-calorie dish, however, the finished product is so rich and delicious that one piece will satisfy... enjoy!
Light, fluffy and delicious. A friend gave me her recipe and I have made it over with healthier ingredients.
This recipe can use any fruit as I made it with apples, nectarines, mango, and papayas. Oh, so good!
Super moist muffins perfect for brunch or breakfast or on the run.
Got this out of the newspaper on an article for baking for two. It make 8 muffins.
Combine ingredients in yogurt pot and leave in the fridge overnight. Eat with some honey or serve with fresh fruit in the morning for a healthy breakfast that will keep you full until lunch!
"For the perfect combination of eggs, sausage, bread and cheese, this is the dish to try. My mom and I like it because it bakes up tender and golden, slices beautifully and goes over well whenever we serve it. -Gayle Grigg, Phoenix, Arizona"
I just decided to cook some veggies in the sauce from the grilled ginger glazed salmon recipe...soooo good. My daughter even snuck extra pieces of broccoli.
