My husband favorite dish, can make a gravy to go with it. Nutritional info should be corrent, I just inputted oz instead of lb when I entered the ground round.
Since the original recipe submitted by JOEKNEE had ingredients that were higher in carbs (i.e. fat free HH, carrots, turkey), I tweaked it and brought the carb count down some! Remember to calculate Net Carbs (subtract the fiber count from the total carbs) to get the true # of carbs.
I got this recipe from the Mayo Clinic website. I was looking for heart healthy high fiber foods for people with high blood pressure and colon problems. This is our family's favorite meal. Even the kids love it. Try adding fat-free refried beans, serve it on the side or on the fajita.
With seven grams of carbs per creamy serving of this casserole, adding bread or pasta just seems like overkill.
