I have seen many variations of this recipe. You can add other spices such as curry powder, cinnamon, fennel, coriander, cardemom, clove, cilantro and other fruits and veggies such as raisins, granny smith apples, apricots, plums, acorn or butternut squash, kalamata olives, all types of peppers, even peanuts. I've seen it prepared with wild rice or couscous. It looks like the possibilities are endless. Let me know if you come up with a different combination than seen below. Just make sure you watch your carbs! Thanks!
If you make sure to use low sodium turkey then it will cut your sodium intake by 1/2! I like to use Boar's head low sodium turkey breast from the deli...sliced thick.
This is a quick chicken salad great for sandwiches or on top of lettuce.
This is a QUICK and yummy take on a traditional mexican dish. My men will lick the dish clean and be asking for more. And it has just a little spice but is still mild enough for me, of the albino tounge clan!
This recipe makes more sauce than you will use (but nutritional count is for all of it, I could not figure a way to adjust it), you can add in more chicken if desired.
Minestrone with no tomatoes or carrots for those who are allergic to them.
Similar to Eggs Benedict, this recipe uses spinach and tomato instead of the usual. Also, the hollandaise has been omitted to save calories that are better used towards a side of fruit to complement this hearty breakfast.
Got this from my friend, I omitted the beans in this recipe, because I am allergic to them.
