This Swiss Breakfast recipe has a great tasting combination of flavors that will provide you with both natural sweetness and tartness. I prefer to eat my cold, but it can also be served hot.
This recipe is high protein, and uses fat free cheese and egg whites. I make it for breakfast, it is a quick, tasty, and healthy way to start the day!
I have recently discovered the kale smoothie, and have been utilizing the heck out of them as meal replacements! I blend the kale with liquid first, to get it all broken down, then add fruit and the protein which consists of either 1) milk and peanut butter or 2) Greek yogurt. The protein choice will also influence the fruit choice, of course. This recipe is using the peanut butter and milk protein, although I sometimes add cocoa powder, I didn't this time. I use sweetener if it's not sweet or appealing enough, and that could be any thing I have on hand at the time - agave, honey, Stevia, etc.
I also frequently add one or more of the following:
Flax seed, Wheat Germ, Wheat Bran, Oat Bran, etc. as well as additional spices.
This is an adaptation from a banana bread recipie I found. I made some yesterday (with reg. sugar), and it was YUMMY!! I added the Benefiber, to help get some fiber in the mornings.
These are delicious low carb pancakes that I love to make. My son says these are some of the best pancakes ever.
