This stew is a staple in my family. Sometimes known as "Christmas Stew", we traditionally serve it every Christmas Eve. It's fantastic in the fall months as well, and makes your house smell magnificent while it cooks.
This is actually my mother's recipe, so of course it is tangy, tasty, nutritious, and easy to prepare. You may need to adjust the amount of ingredients slightly, depending on how many family members you are preparing for and your own personal preferences. This meal serves 4 people.
This recipe came out of a magazine. My mom made it for me on my birthday and it blows shake 'n' bake away!! So yummy!
Yummy - I replaced the Cajun seasoning with Cool Runnings Meat Seasoning ... makes 8 - 1 cup servings
From Cooking Light with some modifications. You can probably reduce the sodium by replacing the prosciutto with ham.
Eat by dipping fufu into soup with fingers or fork.

Hello! I recently saw a recipe like this from Chef Meg on SP but I changed it up a bit and I thought I'd share it. The original recipe required too much preparation for me lol (I am very much a beginner cook). The serving size is one pretty large dinner salad but you can divide it into two smaller salads!
We usually add Anaheim peppers, whole, to the crockpot. You can chop them also, to release the sweet heat earlier in the cooking. Top with grated Seriously Sharp cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream (neither in nutritional info; I like to eat it 'plain').
