A fun, healthy snack to make and eat with the kids. My take on traditional ants on a log.
I made these in an attempt to make the previous recipe healthier. I substituted peanut butter for the oil, but I had to add more milk to get the right consistency. I would have liked a little more peanutty taste, but a good result, anyhow!
Two large russet potatoes will yield quite a lot of mashed potatoes... enough for 12 1/2-cup servings. This recipe is rich and creamy and great if you are not worried about the fat. If so, just adjust the ingredients to lower fat or no fat versions
This easy recipe makes a delicious snack cake good for an after school treat, a dessert, or lunch box. It is so easy to make with children, something I did with my kids.
Yogurt and fresh fruit smoothie
1 c. lowfat vanilla yogurt
1 c. fresh strawberries
1 c. fresh blueberries
1 banana
1 c. skim milk
Blend and enjoy
A great way to use those overripe bananas. Yummy, easy muffin mix with no added sugar or salt.
flavor (recipe can be made with many different types of vinegar recommended amount of vinegar is 1/3 cup)
add apple cider vinegar to create a classic pickle taste
add white vinegar to create a more acidic flavor
add your desired amount of wheat vinegar to create an Asian
