Found this in the costco mag - adjusted to my tastes, if you cut the olive oil down you save lots of calories, it's not totally needed.
Recently i replaced the garlic with 1-2 tsp garlic salt and 1-2 tsp seasoning salt, and updated recipe to be 2 tbl olive oil vs the 1/4 cup!
South Beach friendly. Easy to make with cans of chicken from costco!
This was originally from cooking light - I changed peanuts to peanut butter, and lowered the spice to accommodate dried vs fresh. And I added a can of diced chili peppers. Great for left over turkey! It has a great kick, so you need to like hot food! Enjoy!
These are the real McCoy! And they are delish! You could substitute 1/2 wheat and 1/2 white flour and use egg substitute if you prefer.
This is similar to Weight Watcher's Garden Vegetable Soup...eat as much as you like and lose weight!
These are great by themselves, but are also quite tasty as a sandwich on bun with veggies.
I make these with Black beans too.
this can easily be converted to Jambalaya
This recipe comes from a local restaurant, the Culinary Wrap, in Costa Mesa, CA. You can slim it down by using light dressing, omitting the cheese, and possibly substituting some whole wheat tortillas or pita bread for the flour tortillas.
I played around with Linda Sue's Tuna Patty recipe (http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/
tuna_pat
ties.html) and really thought spinach would work in a tuna burger. It does! Enhanced nutrition for almost no additional carbs or calories, and it improves the visual appearance too. Bet your kids won't mind eating their veggies like this! If you make this recipe, please do leave a comment, I would really appreciate it. Thanks for stopping by!
I have been trying to eat a very high fat diet lately due to research I have read about this WOE, and so I am now trying to get 70% of my daily calories from fat. This recipe really helps in that department! Obviously not for anyone doing low fat, so please spare me the comments. :-)
A delicious way to get nutrient-dense swiss chard and spinach into your breakfast or brunch! This quiche packs a nutritional wallop for its modest 200 calories and 3 carbs. Enjoy and please comment if you make it!
This incredibly easy recipe (not mine, it's from a low carb board but I have slightly tweaked it) makes a roll that is easy to slice, toast, and use for sandwiches, burgers, grilled cheese, etc. It's not really suitable for eating on its own; if you want something that is delicious without anything else, try my Herbed Parmesan variation!
This is great in a Pita for lunch or with crackers for a high protein, high fiber snack - soundswierd but is very yummy and filling!
This is a nice change to the everyday burger. The recipe calls for watercress to top burger but I find a nice piece of crunchy iceberg cuts the spice of this burger. Enjoy!
I made this when i boiled some eggs and they didn't peel so attractively! The fat free mayo gives it a nice sweet flavor and the garlic gives it a nice tangy kick!
