A nutty taste that makes these green beans a hit! Off of the Frozen Green Beans Bag.
From the 1964 Pillsbury Bake-Off, this was one of the winning recipes. They are great! Texture and crunch with a bit of salt on top like a cracker; sweet like a cookie!
This is a very versitile recipe. You can use these cookies as cups to hold frozen yogurt, fruit salad, individual peach cobbler, or just about any other sweet dessert you can think of.
My mom always made homemade applesauce so I could never eat the store bought stuff. I took her recipe but completely eliminated all of the sugar - the apples stand up on their own. Using the juice from the apple peels and cores adds an extra sweetness without extra sugar!
Very Easy and so good! I serve over brown rice or wheat spaghetti. With salad, excellent meal.
McCormick recipe. Pretty good. I think next time, I'll use one apple and substitute water for the juice. A little too sweet for my taste.
Even children who do not like veggies all that well enjoy this salad. There are so many ingredients that it is not just spinach.
Adapted to be raw from a recipe on Elanaspantry.com. Her recipe was pretty much raw to begin with, so it was pretty easy to fix!
These cookies are great for a sweet raw treat! Hard to believe they're good for you! [Taken from goneraw.com]
I never liked lettuce or any kind of dressing so it took me a long time to like salad. I eat lettuce now, but until then, I had to create yummy alternatives. This salad is filled with healthy (Mediterranean) fats, protein, fiber and nutrients. There is enough moisture from the ingredients that a dressing is not required. However, a balsamic drizzle is a de-lish addition if desired.
Lovely as a light lunch and pleasing to the (dairy friendly) vegetarian. When recipe is doubled, it's perfect for potlucks and picnics since there is no dressing.
